#1: Career Day at Charles University

#1: Internship at the Czech Technical University in Prague

Join the team at the Department of Economics, Management, and Humanities at CTU FEE and contribute to cutting-edge projects on energy efficiency and renewable energy policy. As an intern, you will primarily work on a project related to just transition under the supervision of Dr Michaela Valentová. Your key task will be to assist in the preparation of a handbook of goodpractices, with a focus on energy issues such as energy poverty and renewable energy. Additionally, you may be involved in ad hoc small research tasks related to energy communities and the EU taxonomy of sustainable finance. See all the details about the internship here.

#2: Job vacancy at the College of Europe

The Department of EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges is seeking recent graduates to fill positions of Academic Assistants. Candidates must (1) hold a relevant Master’s degree with a strong background in EU Studies and excellent results, (2) show a pronounced interest in EU external affairs, and (3) have a very good command of both English and French. #3: EFRI Summer School

Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka organizes the International Jean Monnet Summer School „International Environment and European Integration“. Due to successful organization and satisfaction of participants EFRI Summer School will be held in hybrid form (onsite and online). International EFRI Summer School will be held from July 3-14, 2023. Participants of EFRI Summer School will be students from many EU/non-EU countries, and from the Republic of Croatia, with an interest in the topic of the European Union, processes of integration, and business in the international environment.

Application for summer school is possible through the online form at this link. The deadline for the application is June 15, 2023.

#4: PhD Scholarship ESPOL (Catholic University of Lille)

Almost done with EPS studies? Looking for a new study path? Applications are open for a full-time, 3-year scholarship for a PhD project at ESPOL (Université Catholique de Lille, France) on the influence of French regions on the adoption of an EU industrial strategy aimed at establishing security of supply in lithium. The project is led by Andrew Glencross. The selected candidate will start on 1 Sept 2023. See the details of the call on the ESPOL website.

IMPORTANT DATES

#1: Joint Online Research Seminar

The Joint Online Research Seminar for 1st-year students will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Please note that there has been a change of the date and the date of May 31 is the final one. See the details on what students are supposed to prepare and present and what they can expect from the event on the EPS website.

#2: MA thesis submission deadline

The deadline for submitting the MA thesis is June 16, 2023. See the details about MA thesis writing and submission on the EPS website.

#1: Oxford Spring School

READING TIP: Free (author: Lea Ypi)

“This book is a must-read for EPS students” as our Kyra Prins wrote for European Waves. Lea Ypi is a Professor in Political Theory at LSE in London. In her book, she describes the communist experience in Albania through her memories.

Who should I send my Erasmus+ learning agreement for signatures?

The learning agreement has to be signed by both, CU and by PU representatives.
