Academic partners
The EPS Programme also has eight Academic Associated Partners in three strategic regions – Latin America, South Caucasus and Mediterranean. These institutions participate in the EPS Programme sending guest lecturers and offering short student exchanges.
El Colegio de México
El Colegio de México (Colmex) is a public university institution dedicated to research and higher education in social sciences and humanities. It is one of the most outstanding in the Hispanic world and has received numerous awards since its founding in 1940. In order to fulfil its aims, the Colegio de México carries out research and teaching in the following specialization areas of their Study Centers: Historical, Linguistic and Literary, International, Asia and Africa, Economic, Urban and Environmental Demographics and Sociology, in addition to the Gender Studies Program.
Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University
Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is the first national university in Georgia and the first higher education institution in the Caucasus region. It established formal education in the country, created the local intellectual workforce and paved the way for human development and democracy. TSU has a well-developed Institute of European Studies, the Institute of Administrative Sciences and Public Policy, the Divisions of International Relations and International law.
Universidad Diego Portales
Universidad Diego Portales (UDP) is one of the oldest private universities in Chile. Since its foundation in 1982, the university has consistently been contributing to the implementation of social policies towards Chilean development, which has led UDP to be positioned as one of the best universities in the country. The UDP academic community meets the highest standards and maintains close links with the Chilean society, ensuring full respect for pluralism and independence of opinion among its members.
Yerevan State University
Yerevan State University (YSU) is the first Armenian University and the leading university among the institutions of higher education in Armenia and one of the best universities in the Caucasus. YSU strives to provide high-quality education and facilitate research through innovative initiatives and policies. Internationalization is a high priority for YSU, including but not limited to such areas as joint degrees, curricula internationalization, both incoming and outgoing mobility and scientific cooperation.
Mohammed V University in Rabat
Mohammed V University in Rabat was founded in 1957 shortly after Morocco’s independence supporting the aim of the modernization and emancipation of the nation, including the education of the first cadres of independent Morocco. The university built on three established research institutions: Scientific Institute, Institute of High Education of Morocco and Centre of Scientific High Education. This institution has today largely justified its reputation by accumulating more than half a century of experience during which were formed high personalities of the state in all major disciplinary fields: Letters and Human Sciences, Legal, Economic and Social Sciences, Exact Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Medical Sciences.
National Chengchi University
National Chengchi University (NCCU, Taiwan) was founded in 1927. The University is comprised of 10 colleges excelling in the Liberal Arts, Law, Commerce, Science, Foreign Languages, Social Sciences, Communication, International Affairs, Education and International College of Innovation. Moreover, NCCU also has ten university-level research centres, including the Institute of International Relations, Election Study Center, Humanities Research Center, Taiwan Studies Center, Center for China Studies, Center for Aboriginal Studies, and Center for the Study of Chinese Religions.
University of Pretoria
The University of Pretoria (UP) was established in 1908 with just four professors and 32 students, in a little house called Kya Rosa. Today, it is one of the largest research universities in South Africa. UP has transformed into a dynamic university community of staff and students who come from a range of diverse backgrounds and cultures showcasing South African and global societies. The University was born from a vision to create a space for quality education and for new ideas to flourish.
Jawaharlal Nehru University
Jawaharlal Nehru University is the foremost university in India, and a world-renowned centre for teaching and research. Ranked number one in India by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a Grade Point of 3.91 (on a scale of 4), JNU was ranked no 3 among all universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework, Government of India, in 2016 and no 2 in 2017. JNU also received the Best University Award from the President of India in 2017.
