Academic partners

The EPS Programme also has eight Academic Associated Partners in three strategic regions – Latin America, South Caucasus and Mediterranean. These institutions participate in the EPS Programme sending guest lecturers and offering short student exchanges.

El Colegio de México

El Colegio de México (Colmex) is a public university institution dedicated to research and higher education in social sciences and humanities. It is one of the most outstanding in the Hispanic world and has received numerous awards since its founding in 1940. In order to fulfil its aims, the Colegio de México carries out research and teaching in the following specialization areas of their Study Centers: Historical, Linguistic and Literary, International, Asia and Africa, Economic, Urban and Environmental Demographics and Sociology, in addition to the Gender Studies Program.

Ilia State University

Ilia State University (ISU) offers research-based study programs and vigorous research activities. It has been beneficiary of a large number of national and international projects related to educational and capacity building and research. ISU has also implemented the project “European Studies – the European Neighbourhood from the V4 Perspective” funded by the International Visegrad Fund in 2014.

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is the first national university in Georgia and the first higher education institution in the Caucasus region. It established formal education in the country, created the local intellectual workforce and paved the way for human development and democracy. TSU has a well-developed Institute of European Studies, the Institute of Administrative Sciences and Public Policy, the Divisions of International Relations and International law.

Universidad Diego Portales

Universidad Diego Portales (UDP) is one of the oldest private universities in Chile. Since its foundation in 1982, the university has consistently been contributing to the implementation of social policies towards Chilean development, which has led UDP to be positioned as one of the best universities in the country. The UDP academic community meets the highest standards and maintains close links with the Chilean society, ensuring full respect for pluralism and independence of opinion among its members.

Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico

Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) is one of the leading academic institutions in Mexico. Its substantive functions are teaching research and dissemination of culture. Its organizational structure is divided into three sub-systems: education, which includes undergraduate, master and doctoral programmes; research, which is done in its schools, and in its institutes and centres of natural and exact sciences, and on the other hand, humanities and social sciences as well as cultural dissemination.

Yerevan State University

Yerevan State University (YSU) is the first Armenian University and the leading university among the institutions of higher education in Armenia and one of the best universities in the Caucasus. YSU strives to provide high-quality education and facilitate research through innovative initiatives and policies. Internationalization is a high priority for YSU, including but not limited to such areas as joint degrees, curricula internationalization, both incoming and outgoing mobility and scientific cooperation.

Mohammed V University in Rabat

Mohammed V University in Rabat was founded in 1957 shortly after Morocco’s independence supporting the aim of the modernization and emancipation of the nation, including the education of the first cadres of independent Morocco. The university built on three established research institutions: Scientific Institute, Institute of High Education of Morocco and Centre of Scientific High Education. This institution has today largely justified its reputation by accumulating more than half a century of experience during which were formed high personalities of the state in all major disciplinary fields: Letters and Human Sciences, Legal, Economic and Social Sciences, Exact Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Medical Sciences.

University Roma Tre – Tor Vergata

The University of Rome Tor Vergata was established in 1982. The mission of the University of Rome Tor Vergata is to contribute to people’s education and training, to scientific research and to the technological, organisational and social innovation needed to achieve a truly sustainable development in Italy, Europe and worldwide pursuant to the Sustainable Development Goals approved by the United Nations in September 2015. As the implementation of the actions needed to accomplish such ambitious purpose requires high skills and management of complex processes, not only is the University of Rome Tor Vergata deeply committed to excellent education and scientific research but it also closely cooperates with the private sector, public institutions and non-profit organisations at national and international level. This aims at favouring the adoption of policies and behaviours focusing on sustainability both in terms of well-being for people and ecosystem conditions. The University of Rome Tor Vergata cooperates both with similar national and international bodies and with public and private research institutes, promoting the internationalisation of teaching and research, investing in lifelong learning for teaching and administrative staff, pursuing the development of existing resources to be exploited in the most efficient way.

National Chengchi University

National Chengchi University (NCCU, Taiwan) was founded in 1927. The University is comprised of 10 colleges excelling in the Liberal Arts, Law, Commerce, Science, Foreign Languages, Social Sciences, Communication, International Affairs, Education and International College of Innovation. Moreover, NCCU also has ten university-level research centres, including the Institute of International Relations, Election Study Center, Humanities Research Center, Taiwan Studies Center, Center for China Studies, Center for Aboriginal Studies, and Center for the Study of Chinese Religions.
