ACADEMIC EVENT

Tandem Languages Course at Charles University

Students who would like to practice a foreign language with their peers might attend the tandem language course where students of two different languages work with a partner and help each other achieve a specific language goal. Students teaching the target language must be native speakers of that language. The main language for communication is English. Study the information carefully in SIS (study system of Charles University, course code JLB115), and contact us at tandem.cjp@fsv.cuni.cz.

CALL FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

PhD scholarships at the University of Milan

The University of Milan offers four PhD scholarships in IT Law. PhD candidates will spend twelve months at the University of Milan, eighteen months in the company, and six months abroad. Students will work on exciting topics such as predictive compliance, cybersecurity, legal tech and AI, the future of legal databases, profiling, glocalization, also in relation to GDPR. The final title will be a PhD at the University of Milan.

SOCIAL/CULTURE EVENT

#1: Campus tour for new students 

Are you coming to Charles University and Prague for the first time? Do not worry. We organise a campus tour of the Faculty of Social Sciences where our first-year students spend the winter semester. Join us either on September 21 at 2 PM or September 22 at 10 AM.

#2:  Prague natural parks trips

Are you in Prague during September? If so, do not miss two trips to discover the capital of the Czech Republic. Prague is not only the Castle and Charles Bridge but also one of the world´s greenest cities. Let´s discover two natural parks with us and meet your fellows  – Prokopské údolí on September 14 and Šárka on September 19.

#2:  Winter semester in Barcelona, Krakow, and Prague

The winter (semester) is coming to Barcelona, Krakow, and Prague! The academic year at the University of Pompeu Fabra starts on September 20 at Jagiellonian and Charles University on October 3. 

#3:  Enrolment of the first-year students in Prague

First-year students start their studies with an enrollment session on September 21 at 9:00 in the Hollar building of Charles University (Smetanovo nabrezi 6, Prague 1).

FREQUENT QUESTION

I graduated in the summer of 2022. When do I receive my diploma?
Issuing the joint diploma takes a few months. Therefore, it will be ready for the graduation ceremony at Charles University in spring 2023, or you might ask to send it via DHL to your destination (the expected time of the delivery is January-February 2023).
