SOCIAL/CULTURE EVENT

#1: Trip to Český Krumlov

Accept our invitation to the trip to the second most beautiful city in the Czech Republic on October 28 – Český Krumlov. The guide will show you the historical center which is under the protection of UNESCO. You will also have enough time to explore the city or environs on your own. The registration is required through the form where you can also find more information.

#2: Visit Prague ZOO

The EPS programme supports the protection of endangered species. Concretely, it helps the herd of Przewalski’s horses in the Prague ZOO. Join us and see your horse on October 17! More information and the registration form, you can find here.

#3: International night at Charles University

Do you want to meet people from different countries; quizzes about these countries and the Czech Republic? You can either prepare some information about your country and bring something typical that represents it (photos, souvenirs, national dish…), participate in competitions (prizes to be won!), or just enjoy the chance to meet new people.

See more information about the event and do not forget to register via this link.

CALL: Join European Waves!

European Waves is a student-led news platform where EPS students and alumni write news articles, opinion pieces, long-reads, and interviews. You can read articles on the importance of civil society, EU environmental policy, and the war in Ukraine, to name but a few. Here you can find one of the latest articles, on the political situation in the UK after the fall of Boris Johnson: When Oblivion Finally Beckons: The Fall of Boris Johnson.

HINDSIGHT

New EPS students are on board! Welcome to a growing EPS family.

READING TIP: The Last Goddess (author: Kateřina Tučková)

A fascinating historical novel about the old lineage of healing women in the White Carpathians through which you might get in touch with Czech history. Read the book The Last Goddess recommended by Eliška Tomalová – our Consortium Director.
