This symposium assembles a group of practitioners, academics, and students to examine key areas related to East Asia Expositions and their relations with EU. | SOCIAL AND CULTURAL EVENT SECTION Still Lives: Jewish Photography in Nazi Germany Accept an invitation to a book launch that will occur on November 20 in the Leiden Faculty Club. The event starts at 4: 15 p.m. and will be followed by a reception and the presentation of the award for the “Best Thesis in Jewish Studies” produced at Leiden University between Nov. 1, 2023 and Nov. 1, 2025. | #1: Brussels Field Trip The 2025 edition of the Brussels Field Trip takes place on December 1-2, 2025. The BFT is organized only for 1st-year students. The EPS compulsory classes will be cancelled for the dates of December 1-3. The detailed information and programme will be shared with participants via email later. Let us remind you that travel and accommodation are arranged and covered by students. |

| READING TIP: Atlas of AI (author: Kate Crawford, ….., ……..) Based on Crawford’s research into the development and labor behind artificial intelligence, as well as AI’s impact on the world. It delves into the ethics behind the use of AI. The book is divided into 8 different chapters that all explore a different face of AI: exploitation of the Earth and human workforce, surveillance, biases in building datasets….
