HINDSIGHT
Congratulations on our new graduates! And fingers crossed to those who are going to defend the thesis in the upcoming weeks.
READING TIP: Shogun (author: James Clavell)
The novel, published in 1975, deals with dynastic clashes in Japan as well as the interference of catholic Portugal into the Japanese internal affairs. Protestant Holland, willing to stop the spread of Catholicism, also desired to take over the trade with the Asian empire. It is truly exciting reading for the summer that, among other things, presents a clash of different cultures.

FREQUENT QUESTION / DO NOT FORGET
I graduate during the summer, when might I expect my EPS diploma? When will the final ceremony at Charles University take place?

Issuing the joint diploma takes a few months. Therefore, it will be ready for the graduation ceremony at Charles University in spring 2024, or you might ask to send it via DHL to your destination (the expected time of the delivery is February-March 2024). The date of the final graduation ceremony at CU will probably be March 19 or 20, 2025 (the final date will be confirmed)
Do you have any hints, ideas, or tips for interesting events, calls, books, films, podcasts, etc.? Do not hesitate to reach us at eps@fsv.cuni.cz. Your feedback and contribution are highly appreciated.
