Lenka Rovná
Prof. Lenka Rovná is the EPS Chair in Prague and the Main Academic Supervisor of the EPS Programme. She studied at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. In 1999 she became a Jean Monnet Chair Ad Personam and the bearer of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies at Charles University (the first in Central and Eastern Europe). She is the founder and chair of the Department of West European Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague. In 2002-2003 she was serving as a representative and a government alternate of the Czech Republic at the Convention on the Future of Europe. He is also the author of several books, including for instance The Prime Minister of Her Majesty: A Decade of Thatcherism in Great Britain (Prague, 1990). In 2004 she was awarded the Chavaliere de l’Ordre national du Merite by the French President.
