Prof. JUDr. PhDr. Ivo Šlosarčík LL.M. Ph.D.
Ivo Šlosarčík is the EPS Chair in Prague and the main academic supervisor. Ivo Šlosarčík graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague (Ph.D. in international law) and the Central European University in Budapest (LL.M. in comparative constitutional law). Mr. Šlosarčík is a professor of European Integration Studies at Charles University in Prague, where he holds a Jean Monnet Chair in EU Politics and Administration, and a Jean Monnet Chair in EU Law. He is also the academic coordinator of the European specialization of the Master’s program in International Area Studies. Since 2004, he has also taught European integration at the Prague campus of New York University.
Ivo Šlosarčík is co-founder of EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy, where he acted as director for research from 2002 to 2007.
Ivo Šlosarčík has researched and published extensively on topics of the EU constitutionalization, rule of law, comparative constitutional law, and the Europeanization of national judicial and administrative structures. His most recent books include The Constitutional Text in the EU Context: The Europeanization of the Constitutional Regime of the Czech Republic (Karolinum 2024), The Legal and Political Framework of the European Union (Wolters Kluwer 2020), The Europeanization of the Czech State Administration: Four Institutions, Four Models (together with T. Weiss and M. Young) (Leges 2020) and The Transformation of Conditionality in the European Union (Karolinum 2013).
