Eliška Tomalová

Dr. Eliška Tomalová is the EPS Consortium Director and Lecturer in Area Studies at the Institute of International Studies. Dr Tomalová studied Area Studies and French Literature at the Charles University in Prague, where she also obtained her PhD on French Cultural Diplomacy. She pursued research activities in the Czech Republic (CEFRES, 2004) and abroad (Institut français de géopolitique, 2004, CREES, Stanford University, 2005) as Visiting scholar. She worked at the Institute of International Relations, Prague as a Research fellow (2005–2012). Since 2005 she has been Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague. In her research and teaching, Eliška Tomalová focuses on public and cultural diplomacy, nation branding and French foreign policy.
